WE REMEMBER
Zest

Dog: Ch DJ Ch AG Zest of
Carnelian (Border Collie)
Owner and handler: Lloyd Bristow
Born: 28 April 1994 Died: 24 October 2004
Zest, son of Chap (son of the legendary Simba) and Jessica will be remembered for his kind and ever enthusiastic ways. He touched the hearts of adults and children alike and will be remembered as the "Gentleman" of Agility in South Africa.
Zest became a Dog Jumping champion on 24th of January 2000 and an Agility champion on the 12th of March 2001. He was the highest qualifier for the AWC in 2000 and represented SA twice, in 2000 and 2001. He also won the SA Dog Jumping Championships in 2000.
He lives on in our hearts and memories and in Play (born 2000) and Tip Top (one of 11 beautiful and healthy pups that were born two days before his death). We mourn our loss but we thank God every day for the new lives we have in Zest's son and daughter.
Ripple
FAREWELL RIPPLE

Sadly on 4 November 2002, Linda Squair's beautiful border collie, Ripple,
had to be put down after a 5 month struggle against Lymph cancer.
He was such a gentle dog, who always gave his best and achieved so much in
his short life.
In the 2 years and 2 months of competing in agility under championship
status he won 17 C.C.s and was South Africa's first Agility Champion.
He won the very first Agility Show ever to be held in South Africa and was
the first dog to qualify up into Agility 2 and 3.
He competed 4 times at the Agility World Championships, twice as an
individual and the next 2 years as a member of the official KUSA team. In
2001 he won the AWC qualifyers, despite just recovering from an injury and
having a 2 month rest.
In 1999 he came 33rd at the AWC, with an unfortunate knocked bar, otherwise
he would have finished 9th.
He won the 1999 KUSA National Agility competition and was runner up the next
2 years, as well as the first two Best of the Best Agility shows.
Just before he took ill, he won the International Agility Show held at
Sandton Square, which included 3 top international competitors.
He must have been the most travelled dog in SA, having visited Slovenia,
Austria, Germany, Holland, Finland and Portugal and riding on buses,
trams, aeroplanes and a boat.
Ripple will be remembered as one of SA's pioneer agility dogs, who
consistently achieved fast clear rounds for Linda and for his gentle ways.
Farewell Ripple and may you go on to even higher heights.
